A tea bowl by Mikami Takeshi (三上猛), worked in a pink-salmon clay body with white glaze applied thickly at the rim and allowed to run. The drips freeze mid-descent — arrested movement, a record of gravity and heat at the precise moment the kiln closed.

The form is wide and open, a broad V-silhouette that invites the eye downward into the bowl. This shape has a long history in the tea ceremony as the preferred summer form — its openness allows the matcha to cool, and its generous mouth creates visual space that the season demands.

The interplay between the warm clay body and the cool white glaze is where this piece holds its tension. Neither dominates. The bowl does not announce itself; it simply is.

Comes with the artist's signed tomobako inscribed "茶碗 三上造".
