Autumn rendered in two gestures. On deep black lacquer, Takeuchi Kosai has placed persimmons — kaki — in gold and warm vermillion, with leaves that move between amber and red-brown. The composition is unhurried: branches extend diagonally, fruit hangs at its own weight, leaves turn in place. The design reads as observation, not arrangement.
