Across the surface, the Genji-ko incense game pattern is laid in gold maki-e: precise, geometric, ceremonially anchored. Each symbol carries the weight of classical literature; each line, the hand of a maker who understood that restraint is its own eloquence.
The interior is finished in black lacquer. The proportions — H7.3cm, D7.3cm — are exactly what the form requires. Comes with original tomobako and tomobune, signed by the artist.
