The summer chawan is built flat and wide — proportioned for the season, when the bowl meets lips that seek coolness rather than warmth. This piece carries the kiln-transformation (youhen) that makes each Raku firing singular: gray-green deepens toward reddish-brown at the foot, the boundary undrawn.
