'Clear Moss' — seigoke — names what the eye finds first: the pale green-white patches moving across soft Hagi clay, like moss finding purchase on stone after rain. Miwa Kyuwa gave this bowl a name because it asked for one.

Compact at 11.9 cm, but the bowl does not read as small. Living National Treasure hands carry a particular authority into the clay; it remains there after the firing. The kaō of Houunsai on the box places this piece within the highest register of tea practice. Silk pouch included.

Diameter 11.9 cm, height 8.8 cm. Wooden box and silk pouch included.
