Miwa Kyuwa — the tenth generation to carry that name, designated Living National Treasure — understood the Ido bowl not as a form to replicate but as a presence to inhabit. This chawan, his interpretation of the great Korean Ido tradition in Hagi clay, arrives in the warm salmon-pink that only Hagi achieves: a color that deepens with each season of use.

The surface holds the characteristic texture of Hagi — slightly yielding to the eye, substantial in the hand. The kaō of Houunsai appears on the box, and a silk pouch accompanies the piece. This is a bowl made by a master who had fully absorbed what came before him.

Diameter 15 cm, height 10.1 cm. Wooden box and silk pouch included. Excellent condition.
