The mei is Suehiro — 末廣, spreading fortune. The name was given by Hasegawa Kanshu, a priest of Daitokuji, inscribed on the box lid in his hand. That inscription is not ornament. It is a chain of custody reaching back through the temple's long silence.Ichiraku's bowl is classic black raku: deep, rounded, thick-walled. The glaze is lustrous and textured, neither uniform nor restless. A gold seal marks the base. The bowl absorbs light rather than returning it.Holding it, you understand why this form has persisted.
