This chawan carries an attribution to Kitaoji Rosanjin (1883–1959), confirmed through a wooden box inscribed by Kuroda Toto-an, a recognized figure in ceramic authentication. The Shino glaze is white and porous, the iron-painted bamboo sparse and direct — consistent with Rosanjin's known approach to the Momoyama revival.
